Vuoden 2026 alustavat astutustilastot ratsuhevosille ja poniroduille on julkaistu. Sekä lämminveristen ratsuhevosten että ponirotujen astutusmäärät laskivat noin 16 prosenttia edellisvuodesta. Kasvatusta haastavat taloustilanne ja erityisesti varsojen ja nuorten hevosten vähäinen kysyntä. Laadullisesti suomalainen kasvatus menestyy niin kotimaassa kuin kansainvälisesti.
